Fixture
(Displaying Only One Side)
To set any 0°-50° angle (in 5° increments):
Place a dowel pin in the left or right pivot hole (0°), and another dowel in a sector hole on the opposite side, at the desired angle. Slide your miter gauge into the fixture against the dowels and set it.

(½°) Step Bar
To set any 0°-52½° angle (in ½° increments):
Place a dowel pin in the left or right pivot hole (0°), and another dowel in a sector hole on the opposite side, closest to the desired angle. Place Step Bar detent on sector dowel to add detent value. Place Step Bar detent on pivot dowel to subtract detent value. Slide your miter gauge into the fixture against the Step Bar and set it.

Example
The Step Bar has been placed on the fixture plate along with dowels in a pivot hole and at a 20° sector hole. The Step Bar’s 2½° detent is placed against the sector dowel to add 2½° to 20°. Slide your miter gauge into the fixture against the Step Bar and set it. Your miter gauge is set to 22½°, that’s all there is to it! The exact angle every time, right or left.
"I received my Miterset yesterday and boy, what a treat!!!!! My Delta miter gauge was true at 90, but 22 1/2 and 45 were several degrees off. After spending a half hour adjusting these angles true, (using MiterSet) off to the garage I went. I had made a picture frame out of left over base board as one of my first projects. It was terrible . No amount of filler, glue, and paint could make it look good. I broke the corners loose, attached a MDF fence extension to the miter gauge, set up a stop block, and started cutting. In about 3 minutes I had a perfectly square frame. This is one of the best items I have ever purchased!!"
